Microsoft surprised the tech world, unveiling a plan to go into partnership with longtime rival Novell (NOVL), the world's leading maker of operating systems based on Linux.

Chinese language learning has become increasingly popular on the African continent in recent years. According to the Office of the Chinese Language Council International, China has sent delegations of language teachers to Africa as many as 210 times. There are currently six Confucius Institutes and 20 Chinese teaching posts in 11 African countries.

Lanlian MAZ, a clean combustion improver for oil quality has been developed by Lanzhou Petroleum and Chemical Co., Ltd. of China National Petroleum Corporation and Beijing Changxin Wanlin Technology. When added to gasoline, this new type of combustion improver can significantly improve the performance and effectiveness of fuel and reduce automobile exhaust emissions. It meets Euro III emission standards for clean fuel. In addition, it can help increase engine power, reduce fuel consumption, improve the quality of emissions, and prolong engine life.
