The Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) added another pearl to its crown Thursday by winning Travel Trade Gazette's (TTG) Best Airport award fourth time in a row due to its services and facilities, according to a press release from the airport.
HKIA's excellent facilities, user-friendliness and efficiency of immigration and baggage claim, well-designed floor layout and convenient ground accessibility have earned the TTG readers' praises and support during its annual voting.
Bangkok-based TTG is a leading global brandname for a list of renowned trade publications targeted for travel agents, hoteliers and other travel professionals. Presented by TTG every year since 1989, TTG Annual Travel Awards consist of a number of awards given to outstanding members of the travel trade in the Asia Pacific region.
Hong Kong Airport Authority's Chief Executive Officer Dr. David J Pang is delighted that HKIA's achievement has been recognized not only by the flying population but also the travel industry professionals.
Pang said HKIA would continue to provide customers with the finest airport experience by redefining and refining its services and hardware.
When Passenger Terminal 2 began operation by the end of 2006, Pang said, HKIA will bring travelers and other airport users an even wider choice of facilities and services in shopping, dining and entertainment, further confirming HKIA's status as Asia's premier aviation hub.
