Latest figure of the injured men in two attacks in Afghanistan's eastern Khost province Thursday morning has risen to 19 including 17 civilians, local officials said.
"A suicide attacker which targeted a convoy of Afghanistan National Army at 08:10 a.m. this morning wounded two soldiers and 14 civilians," head of crime department of Khost police Mohammad Yaqub told Xinhua.
The attacker who strapped explosive material in his body was died in the explosion, he added.
In the first attack which was a roadside bomb and exploded by a remote control at 08:00 a.m. three civilians were injured, police chief of Khost province Mohammad Ayub confirmed.
There were no casualties on the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force, spokesman of the multinational force Major Luke Knittig said.
Suicide bombings have claimed the lives of nearly 200 people mostly of them civilians since beginning this year in Afghanistan.
