Lawmakers in Tanzania's Zanzibar started their second session of this year on Wednesday to discuss and approve four bills, according to reports.
The bills, to be discussed during the two-week session, include one on registering births and deaths of the isle's residents, one on creating studying and working opportunity for the disabled, one on setting up a mass media college on the Indian Ocean archipelago, and the other on vocational training.
The Zanzibar House of Representatives is in session under the chairmanship of Zanzibar Chief Minister Shamsi Vuai Nahodha.
Though as a part of Tanzania, Zanzibar has its own parliament, apart from having some of its representatives sitting in the parliamentary sessions of the Tanzanian National Assembly.
