The main railway station in Geneva, western Switzerland, was closed and evacuated for about two hours on Tuesday afternoon following a bomb alert.
Swiss Federal Railways said the evacuation was carried out just after 6:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. GMT) according to orders of the police, who earlier received an anonymous telephone call saying an explosive device had been put in the railway station.
But after a search, police later said the station was safe and no explosive device had been found.
More than 10,000 passengers had their journeys disrupted because of the incident.
