Jordanian Foreign Minister Abdullah Ilah al-Khatib on Tuesday called on all Arab countries to form a unified stance which enables them to have their say on their issues.
During a penal discussion hosted by Jordan Information Center, al-Khatib reiterated that a unified Arab stance toward Arab issues might help prevent other parties from using Arab soil for their own conflicts.
He said that the Palestinians were in dire need for such an Arab stance to support them to achieve their legitimate rights.
"This stance might catalyze the Palestinian to overcome their plight," al-Khatib said, stressing that if a just and accepted solution could not be reached, crises and plights in the region would be recurred.
He also denied a recent Jordanian-Qatari row over Qatar's failure to vote for Jordan's candidate to the UN general secretary position, saying "Jordan's relations with Arab countries are very distinguished and there was not any discord with any Arab country. "
Jordan recalled its ambassador to Doha last week in protest over Qatar's move, which Jordan said violated an Arab agreement to vote for Jordan's UN Ambassador Prince Zeid al-Hussein who was among five candidates to succeed UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
On Monday, al-Khatib said that Jordan does not seek to sever diplomatic relations with Qatar.
