среда, 11 октября 2006 05:29:06

Hong Kong Airport's check-in system has resumed service after an urgent repair, and a total of 47 flights were affected by the system breakdown, said the Airport Authority Tuesday evening.

The authority said it received emergency calls from several affected airlines at about 5 a.m. (2100 GMT, Monday), noting that their check-in systems was out of service because of the failure of CUTE, a joint computer system provided by SITA, a world leading IT service provider to air transport industry.

The affected airlines resorted to manual check-in procedure during the breakdown and therefore affected the schedule of 47 flights, added the authority.

Airlines and the Airport Authority have asked the system provider to investigate the accident and apologize to affected passengers.
