More UN officials arrive in Nepal to help peace process

Two more members of the United Nations-appointed team arrived in the Nepali capital Kathmandu Tuesday, according to the United Nations Information Center in Kathmandu.

Jan Erick Wilhemson, a former general of the Norwegian army and a member of the UN team, will assist Nepal's peace process as an arms management expert.

The other UN official accompanying Wilhemson is Ecaterina Salvu, a Romanian national, who is an expert in elections monitoring.

Samuel Tamarat, a senior UN official has already arrived in the capital.

According to the UN Information Center, John Beven, another UN official is to arrive on Friday to study and assess the cease-fire code of conduct in Nepal.
