Nepali Seven-Party Alliance (SPA) government and the guerrillas Tuesday agreed to hold the Constituent Assembly elections by mid-June, 2007.
According to a leading media group's website, eKantipur.com report, in the high-level talks held in Kathmandu, leaders of the two sides also agreed to resume the next session of the summit talks on Thursday.
The summit talks, however, could not reach an agreement on any other political issues.
Leaders of the SPA government and the guerrilla outfit resumed the peace talks Tuesday morning.
Like in the first sitting held here on Sunday, key SPA leaders including Prime Minister Girja Prasad Koirala, Communist Party of Nepal (United Marxist Leninist) general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal, Nepali Congress (Democratic) president Sher Bahadur Deuba and top leader of the guerrilla Prachanda and his deputy Baburam Bhattarai attended Tuesday's talk.
The Constituent Assembly is an elected body, like parliament, of elected people's representatives to formulate the new constitution.
