=Three Palestinian militants were injured Monday night and survived a possible death after an Israeli aircraft targeted them by one missile in northern Gaza City, medics and eyewitnesses said.

Witnesses said three Islamic Jihad (Holy War) militants were standing in an area near the town of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza Strip, when an Israeli army drone targeted them and fired one missile.

Palestinian medics said that two of the three militants were moderately wounded in the head and abdomen, and the third was not hurt. The two were taken by Palestinian ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The air attack was carried out as Qatari Foreign Minister Hamad Ben Jassem al-Thani is holding marathon meetings with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Ismail Haneya in Gaza City.

The aim of the meetings is to end disputes and crisis between Hamas and Abbas on the formation of a national unity government. The Qatari minister brought an initiative to end the crisis.
