Romania has learned with deep concern of the nuclear test conducted by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) early on Monday, and it considers this move unacceptable, the Romanian Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
Romania firmly condemns Pyongyang's statements regarding the conduct of the test, calling for firm measures from the international community in order to guarantee regional and global peace and stability, the release said.
Romania requests Pyongyang to immediately stop the proliferation moves and actions and to get committed to the six- party talks in a sincere and active manner, in the spirit of the Joint Declaration of Sept. 19, 2005.
Romania voices its full readiness to act together with other global players, notably the European Union, so as to solve the DPRK proliferation problems, the release said.
