The Chinese Football Association (CFA) has appointed Serbian Ratomir Dujkovic as China's U-23 national coach, local media on Monday.
Though the CFA has not officially confirmed the 60-year-old Serbian's appointment, Beijing-based newspaper The First said Dujkovic would be the man leading the hosts to the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
The former Red Star Belgrade star will arrive in Beijing later this week to ink a contract with the CFA, said the paper.
Dujkovic worked in Myanmar and Venezuela in the mid-1990s before moving to war-torn Rwanda and helping them qualify for the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations Finals.
Dujkovic is expected to take charge of the team for the friendly against Japan in Tokyo on October 25.
