Sun Tiantian wins Tashkent Open

China's Olympic doubles champion Sun Tiantian won her first WTA singles title on Sunday, beating host player Iroda Tulyaganova in the Tashkent Open final.

Sun spent just 66 minutes disposing of the 2000 Tashkent champion 6-2, 6-4.

"It was not that easy as one may guess from the scoring," said Sun. "Tulyaganova is back in tennis after injury and it was not that easy to beat her."
