Two U.S. soldiers killed in helicopter crash in Iraq

A U.S. helicopter crashed in northern Iraq's Salahuddin province on Monday, killing two U.S. soldiers on board, the military said in a statement.

"Two Task Force Lightning soldiers attached to 25th Combat Aviation Brigade were killed when a helicopter crashed in Salahuddin province," the military said in a statement.

The military said that no enemy fire observed in the area at the time of the crash.

"The incident is under investigation," it added.
