Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was taken out of an intensive care unit Monday morning, the Sheba Medical Center where Sharon was receiving treatment confirmed to Xinhua.
Sharon was transferred to intensive care unit on Friday morning after being diagnosed with an infection that affected his heart, doctors said.
It was not the first time Sharon was moved to intensive care unit. In August, he spent two weeks under special surveillance after a bout of pneumonia.
Sharon, 78, a veteran Israeli politician, was moved to respiratory rehabilitation unit at Sheba Medical Center, a facility near Tel Aviv, in May, after being hospitalized at Hadassah University Hospital since he suffered a massive stroke on Jan. 4.
