Three U.S. soldiers, including two marines, have been killed in Iraq's western province of Anbar, the U.S. military said on Monday.
One marine, assigned to Regimental Combat Team 5, died Saturday from wounds sustained due to enemy action while operating in Anbar province, the U.S. military said in a statement.
A second marine from the same combat team, died Sunday from wounds sustained due to the same reason, the statement added.
One U.S. soldier assigned to 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division was also killed Sunday by enemy fire while operating in Anbar province, the military said.
Since the U.S.-led war in Iraq broke out in March 2003, more than 2,820 U.S. soldiers have been killed in the country, according to media count.
