China entrepreneurs' confidence index rose 4.7 points in the third quarter over the same period last year to 136.7 points, according to a report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday.
The index measures the views and expectations and overall confidence of entrepreneurs concerning the economy and the country's macro policies.
Official figures show the second quarter confidence index was 135.9 points.
The NBS survey revealed the confidence index of entrepreneurs in large companies jumped 6.7 points to 156.4 points. Confidence in medium-sized companies rose 3.9 points to 125.0 points and 1.8 points in small companies to reach 116.4 points.
The confidence level of entrepreneurs working in the mining and real estate sectors respectively declined 3.0 points and 2.4 points from the second quarter to 159.6 points and 132.6 points.
The confidence index in the construction and wholesale and retailing sectors stood at 133.1 points and 142.0 points respectively.
The report also showed that the confidence index of entrepreneurs in state-owned enterprises, cooperatives and overseas-invested companies rose 6.8 points, 1.8 points and 0.6 points respectively over the third quarter last year to 135.0 points, 110.8 points and 141.4 points.
The index is based on a survey of 19,500 enterprises nationwide.
