Romania, Bulgaria to launch commemorative stamp for EU entry

Postal administrations of Romania and Bulgaria are to launch a common philatelic issue to mark their entry into the European Union (EU), the Romanian Post reported on Saturday.

The commemorative stamp, "Romania-Bulgaria, together in EU", will be issued on December 1. The stamps will be used for internal and international correspondence, it said.

Romania and Bulgaria are due to join the EU on January 1, 2007.
