U.S. Ambassador to Nepal James F. Moriarty met Nepali Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala Friday morning and informed him about his recent trip to India, the local Nepal F.M. radio reported.
Moriarty told the prime minister he had discussed about Nepal crisis with the influential Indian leaders and intellectuals there.
"The ambassador repeated his old stands before the Prime Minister," the radio quoted Suresh Chalise, advisor to Koirala, as saying.
During the meeting, Moriarty also discussed with the prime minister Nepal's current political situation and arms management issue, the report said.
Both the Nepali government and the U.S. have been insisting on complete disarmament of guerrillas before they are included in the interim government.
