Dengue fever patients up to 813 in Pakistan

The total number of patients declared positive for dengue virus across the country stood at 813 by Thursday evening as against 741 positive cases by Wednesday evening, said a press release issued by Pakistan health ministry here Thursday.

The patients with signs and symptoms similar to those of dengue fever admitted in different hospitals of Pakistan stood at 2,529 by Thursday evening, said the press release.

So far a total of 31 deaths have occurred from dengue fever across the country, 30 in Sindh province and one in North West Frontier Province.

No death from dengue fever was reported in the last 24 hours.

A total number of 334 patients have so far been admitted to different hospitals in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, while the total number of positive cases of dengue virus stand at 105.
