Sudanese vice president to visit Syria next week

Sudanese Vice President Ali Othman Mohammed Taha is scheduled to pay an official visit to Syria next Wednesday at the invitation from Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Naji Ottri, the official SANA news agency reported on Thursday.

The Sudanese vice president would head the Sudanese side at meetings of the Syrian-Sudanese Joint Higher Committee, which is to be held on next Wednesday and Thursday, SANA said, quoting a cabinet announcement.

Senior officials from both sides would hold talks on developing cooperation between the two sisterly countries in economic development and commercial fields, SANA said.
