The retired king of Cambodia Norodom Sihanouk, who turned 84 on Tuesday, appeared to be in good health, according to the latest medical results posted on his personal website on his birthday, local media said on Thursday.

In the checkup conducted at the Beijing Hospital, China, on Sept. 11, doctors found no tumor cells in the urine or stomach tissue of the former king, who once suffered from lymphoma B cancer and stayed in Beijing through most of the last two years for treatment, said the Cambodian Daily.

However, the test turned up nodules on the thyroid gland and extensive hardening of his arteries, a common problem in old age.

According to the examination results, Sihanouk appeared in good health, the paper quoted Gavin Scott, doctor at the Tropical and Travelers Health Clinic in Phnom Penh, as saying.
