Palestinian group fires rocket at West Bank settlement

Al-Nasser Saladin Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, said on Wednesday that it produced homemade rockets and fired a rocket at a Jewish settlement in the West Bank.

The brigades said in a statement that its fighters manufactured short-range rocket called Nasser 1, and one rocket was launched early in the morning at the Jewish settlement of Majdulim near the West Bank city of Nablus.

"This development was the first step toward eradicating Zionists by rocket attacks," the statement said.

Palestinian militants have from time to time fired rockets at Israeli cities from the Gaza Strip.
