Two more patients, who had been diagnosed with having Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF), died at a hospital in Karachi, capital of Pakistan's Sindh province, rising the death toll to 30 in the province, local newspaper The Nation reported on Wednesday.
Around 100 new patients, suspected to be suffering from Acute Haemorrhagic Fever (AHF), have been admitted to different government and private hospitals in the provincial metropolis during the last 24 hours.
Pakistani Federal Ministry of Health has said that so far a total of 2,178 patients with symptoms similar to dengue fever have been admitted to different hospitals across the country.
Of these cases, some 572 patients have been found positive for dengue fever all over the country by October 31.
The ministry's spokesman said there had been a total of 30 deaths from the disease, all in Sindh province and no death has been reported so far from any other part of the country.
