Nigeria is to establish two additional regional gas pipelines to sell gas to European markets, local media reported on Tuesday.
Funsho Kupolokun, Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), disclosed the plan for the project on Sunday in Abuja at the opening of the 5th International Gas Conference and exhibition organized by the Nigerian Gas Association.
According to Fisoye Delano, group general manager of NNPC, the Equatorial Guinea Gas Pipeline and Trans Saharan Pipeline projects would provide the platform for Nigeria to capture the expanding European market through the North African route.
