Roger Federer survived a third-set tiebreaker to beat Thai Paradorn Srichaphan on Saturday before reaching the final at the ATP Swiss Indoors Open.
Federer, chasing his first hometown title, had to twice fight back from a mini-break down in the decisive third set tiebreak before eventually winning 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (5).
The top-ranked Federer will play Sunday's final against defending champion Fernando Gonzalez from Chile, who beat home player Stanislas Wawrinka 6-4, 6-4 in Saturday's other semifinal.
That will be a rematch of last week's Madrid Masters final, where Federer won 7-5, 6-1, 6-0 for his third straight tournament and 10th title of the year.
