Egyptian police seize explosives in central Sinai

Egyptian security agencies have seized explosives in the Sinai Peninsula, the official news agency MENA reported Friday.

The TNT explosives have been found in a village in central Sinai, the report said, adding that all legal and security measures have been taken after the seizure.

A security source said that the seizure of the explosive materials was the result of incessant security campaigns in the area.

In the past few days, a total of four people involved in weapons and ammunition smuggles were arrested by Egyptian security agencies.
