Some 71 referees from 30 Asian countries and regions will attend the Asian water polo referee workshop to take place in the resort island of Bali, Indonesia, on October 5-9.
"The workshop is, among other things, meant to keep water polo referees abreast of the latest developments in water polo regulations," a spokesman of the Indonesian Swimming Association (PRSI) Herlambang Widjaya said on Tuesday in Surabaya, the second largest city in the country.
The workshop which would be guided by coaches from Italy, Iran, the United States and Germany, Antara news agency reported on Wednesday.
The 17 water polo referees from across Indonesia will join the event, said the report.
