A Chilean judge interrogated the country's former leader Augusto Pinochet on Thursday, seeking answers about his alleged involvement in two executions carried out by the Caravan of Death, a firing squad.
"The interrogation went as it should. There was nothing abnormal," judge Victor Montiglio told media as he left Pinochet's home in Santiago after two hours of questioning.
The Caravan of Death, led by several former army officers, toured northern Chile in 1973 and executed at least 75 political prisoners following Pinochet's military coup that brought down the government of Salvador Allende.
In July, the Supreme Court lifted Pinochet's immunity from prosecution relating to the two executions.
