Dollar quoted at around 118 yen in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar hovered around the 118 yen line Wednesday in Tokyo after rising slightly in early trading.

At 5:00 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 117.97-118.00 yen compared with Tuesday's 5:00 p.m. quotes of 117.88-98 yen in New York and 117.47-50 yen in Tokyo.

It traded between 117.87 yen and 118.22 yen during the day, most frequently at 118.05 yen.

The euro was quoted at 1.2717-2720 dollars and 150.05-09 yen against Tuesday's 5:00 p.m. quotes of 1.2728-2738 dollars and 150. 09-19 yen in New York and 1.2745-2748 dollars and 149.74-78 yen in Tokyo.
