At least one passenger was killed and 45 others were injured when a mini-truck met with an accident in Lalitpur in Nepali capital Kathmandu Valley Wednesday afternoon.
The truck on its way to Kathmandu city with passengers from the outskirts of Lalitpur fell some 10 meters down the road. One passenger died on his way to the hospital, according to a leading news website report.
As many as 12 injured passengers returned home after receiving treatment at a local hospital and another 23 passengers are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, nepalnews.com reported.
The Nepali capital Kathmandu Valley includes Kathmandu and Kirtipur cities in Katmandu district, Bhaktapur and Madhyapur cities in Bhaktapur district and Lalitpur city in Laltipur district.
