Americans have spent up to 90.7 billion US dollars a year to treat obesity and other related diseases, according to a research project conducted by researchers in the United States.

In his report at an obesity conference held in Boston on 21, Prof. Adam Gilden Tsai of the University of Pennsylvania said, an obesity person spends an average of 1,034 dollars more than an ordinary person annually in medical treatment and the use of medicine. Moreover, experts hold that obesity will cause arthritis, asthma, breast cancer, colon cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

Relevant statistics show that there is a plump person in every three Americans.
