Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and right-wing party Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Lieberman signed on Monday evening the agreement placing the party a member of the coalition.
According to the agreement, which will be reviewed by the Knesset (Parliament) on Tuesday, Lieberman will serve as vice premier as well as Minister of Strategic Threats in the Prime Minister's Office.
Lieberman announced earlier in the day that his party was joining the government, and that a final agreement would be drawn up soon.
Olmert is expected to convene the cabinet on Tuesday in order to introduce Lieberman to the government.
