Nepali Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs KP Sharma Oli has said that the talks to be held between the governments of Nepal and Bhutan on Nov. 21- 22 will resolve the Bhutanese refugee problem.
Speaking at a face-to-face program organized at the Reporters' Club here Saturday, Oli said as Bhutanese refugee problem was not a problem of India but of Bhutan, the government of Bhutan should be serious over how it should take back its citizens.
On the occasion, Oli said that the government of Nepal could think of an alternative if the refugee problem was not resolved completely by the talks to be held in November.
Oli also said that he will be visiting neighboring India for a week starting November 5.
Some 105,000 Bhutanese refugees have been residing in various refugee camps in eastern Nepal for the past 16 years.
They arrived to Nepal via India but the government of India has been stopping them from going back the same route.
As many as 15 rounds of bilateral talks held between the two governments have failed to yield any results so far.
