Four people were killed and 15 others wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself up inside a minivan in downtown Baghdad on Saturday, a well-informed Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.
"A suicide bomber wearing an explosive-belt blew himself up at about 9:30 a.m. (0630 GMT) inside a minivan near the Sarrafiyah Bridge in Baghdad's Karkh area, on the west bank of the Tigris River," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
It was not clear whether the suicide bomber was targeting the minivan itself or his explosive-belt went off prematurely, the source said.
The blast also damaged several passing civilian cars, he added.
