China has signed agreements on reciprocal recognition of academic qualifications with 26 countries and regions. This will enable local schools, teachers and students to form partnerships with institutions overseas and allow Chinese students studying overseas to return and find jobs.

The Chinese government has established a relationship based on educational cooperation and exchange with 178 countries and regions as well as some international organizations including UNESCO.
