Pakistani security forces have arrested a militants' commander of Marri tribe, one of three major tribes in restive areas of Baluchistan province, the DAWN newspaper reported Thursday.
Following a tip-off, the government troops on Wednesday arrested the Marri tribal militants' commander, Baz Khan Marri, with his three associates after an exchange of fire in Kohlu, some 220 km east of the provincial capital Quetta, said the report, quoting a spokesperson for the Frontier Corps.
Security forces had destroyed a fugitive camp in the area and seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunition in the operation, it said.
