The trial of Talaat el-Sadat, a nephew of late Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, was postponed until Saturday, the official news agency MENA reported Wednesday.
Talaat Sadat has recently accused the Egyptian armed forces and other military commanders of being behind his uncle's assassination, said MENA.
As a result, he was stripped of parliamentary immunity on Thursday by the People's Assembly, or Egypt's lower house.
Anwar Sadat was shot dead by Islamists in the Egyptian army during a military parade in Cairo on Oct. 6 of 1981. His assassins were opposed to Sadat's landmark peace treaty with Israel.
