Gold price higher in Hong Kong -- Oct. 17

The gold price in Hong Kong went up 148 HK dollars to 5,505 HK dollars per tael on Tuesday, according to Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The price is equivalent to 594.46 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 5.54 U.S. dollars at Tuesday's exchange rate of 1 U.S. dollar against 7.7735 HK dollars.
