China to become helicopter producing power

More than 800 helicopters have been manufactured by China since it established a helicopter manufacturing industry more than 50 years ago. Over 30 different models have been built including the 701, helicopter 6, helicopter 7, helicopter 8, helicopter 9 and helicopter 11.

These helicopters have been instrumental in national defense and the development of the national economy.

It is predicated China will need another 2,763 helicopters in the next 20 years and in meeting this demand, is expected to become one of the world's helicopter producing powers.
