A total of 20 bodies were found by Iraqi police in different parts of Baghdad during the past 24 hours, an Interior Ministry source said on Monday.
"Our patrols found 15 bodies scattered in different parts of Baghdad during the past 24 hours," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Five bodies for construction workers were also found in Baghdad's northern district of Azamiyah, the source added.
The almost daily gruesome body findings, assassinations and explosions in Baghdad and other Iraqi cities were seen as a major setback for the Iraqi government's efforts to stem violence and achieve national reconciliation.
The United Nations and Iraqi officials estimate that more than 100 Iraqis are killed everyday in insurgent attacks and sectarian fightings.
