Gold price higher in Hong Kong -- Oct. 16

The gold price in Hong Kong went up 101 HK dollars to 5,458 HK dollars per tael on Monday, according to Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The price is equivalent to 588.92 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 12.42 U.S. dollars at Monday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.7795 HK dollars.
