A car bomb went off near a police patrol in eastern Baghdad on Monday, wounding seven people, including policemen, a police source said.
"A car bomb parking in the Mashtal Intersection in eastern Baghdad detonated at about 12:45 p.m. (0945 GMT) near a passing police patrol," Captain Ahmed Abdullah told Xinhua.
The blast wounded four policemen and three civilians, the source said.
A police vehicle, along with several civilian cars and nearby buildings, were badly damaged by the attack, he added.
