Ten people were killed and 15 others wounded when a car bomb went off in the town of Suwaiyra in south of Baghdad on Monday, a well-informed Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.
"A car bomb parking near the branch of the state-owned al- Rasheed Bank in the Suwaiyra town, some 60 km south of Baghdad," the source said on condition of anonymity.
The attack killed 10 people and wounding 15 others, including policemen, and damaged several cars and nearby buildings, the source said.
Earlier, the police said that three Iraqis were killed and seven others, including policemen, wounded in two bomb attacks targeted an Iraqi bank and police forces in Baghdad.
"A makeshift bomb went off at about 7:30 a.m. (0430 GMT) near a police patrol near the Sinak Branch of al-Rashid Bank in central Baghdad," the police said.
An hour later, a roadside bomb detonated near another police patrol at the same area, they said.
Separately, a third roadside bomb blast targeted a police patrol on the highway of Muhammad al-Qassim, near the Technology University, wounding three policemen," the police added.
