At least eight people have died of an unidentified disease over the past two weeks in a village in Dadeldhura district in far-western Nepal.

According to a leading news media group's website eKantipur.com Saturday's report, the disease, which has not yet been diagnosed, has affected the people of Belapur village in the district, some 800 km west of Kathmandu.

The victims of the disease complained of headache among other complications. Among the dead include four minors.

Lack of doctors and health workers in district's only hospital has rendered more difficulty in the diagnosis of the disease, the report said.
